Zac's Memory Chests

       ZAC'S MEMORY CHESTS

Made in memory of our son Zac to glorify GOD.  Our son Zachary fought a blood disorder called Histiocytosis for 3 1/2 years with chemotherapy. He earned his angel wings on April 11, 2007. My husband made the first memory chest for Zac's special things. Since then we have continued to make them for families that we have met along our journey. These chests are bereavement gifts for families that have lost a child(under 18). While we cannot make one for everyone; we would like to make as many as possible. These chests are made in our spare time when we are not busy with work, our family, and church.  We supply all the labor, time, and supplies ourselves. Each chest is 24"X15"X18".  They are each custom made of clear pine with glass on the top and front covering the pictures. Each one is made with the child's pictures. Their name is  wood burned on the front. We have several different styles and have made some with certain themes. Please check out the photos in our gallery on this site, we add to them regularly.

If you would like to help with supplies or a donation so we can continue this project please contact us. We are looking for individuals or businesses to help with the cost of supplies and shipping(each chest weighs 26 pounds before adding  the shipping materials).Shipping is expensive and our account for the chests is low. Materials (with a discount from the lumber company) are about $50 a chest but to ship it can be anywhere from $40-$90 and that is with us packaging it ourselves. We would like to continue offering these as gifts to these families. If you would like to donate please contact us at the info on the contact page. These chests are a family keepsake.  A special place for those precious items and  to keep the memories of their loved one close by. This project can touch many families.
